Foods!

Well, we're making our way into Japanese society, but one thing we both miss is FOOD! American food! We like Japanese food, but enough is enough! Away with the fish! In with the beef!

Here is poor Serenity staring at the empty peanut butter jar. Apparently there's a Costco around somewhere, so we'll have to go hunting for it, and get ourselves a big jar of JIF, Skippy, or whatever. Just no more of this crap!
THIS is typical Japanese food -- some stuff you just can't guess what it is. Yeah, that piece in the middle is BLUE. And spotted.
The sausage-like thing had a whole in the middle with some brown stuff in it. We can only imagine.

Will likes it. More than Serenity, anyway. She is struggling with school lunches everyday though, so give her a break!



Ready-made soups aren't the same either, but really aren't bad. This is an example of the mystery prize you get when you open up a bowl. Sometimes it's mysterious flakes, sometimes it's just spices. One sort-of sweet one is a mushy fried square thing... but it's actually not bad. This one just melted into the noodles after adding the water. Tasted fine.

This is dessert. There were pictures of several nice looking crepes, with bannanas, chocolate, strawberries, ice cream, etc... and this was the photo at the end of the row. Yes, that's tuna, pizza sauce and cream cheese...for dessert. Serenity got the blackberry & vanilla ice cream crepe...Will just walked away.
